Healing Anxiety: Embracing the Alarm

In this episode, we explore the profound connection between anxious thoughts and the ALARM sensation stored in our bodies since childhood.

Surprisingly, that very ALARM sensation is your inner child or younger self.

When we feel this alarm, our instinct is to go into our heads and worry – a coping mechanism from our childhood that only intensifies our anxiety as adults.

To heal, you must find the alarm (and therefore your younger self) in your body and STAY with it WITHOUT reflexively going up in to your head with worry.

When you stay with the alarm, you metabolize and neutralize it and rob the worries of their energy source and that is how you truly heal from chronic worry.
