Top Two Hiking Trails in Oahu, Hawaii - Lanikai Pillbox and Lulumahu Falls

There are so many great hiking trails on Oahu but if there were two that were the very best. As in the best views, most fun, embodied the best of Hawaii then those would be the Lanikai Pillbox Hike and Lulumahu Falls trail which is the best waterfall you can find in my opinion.

Lanikai Pillbox (Ka'iwa Ridge) Trail, Oahu, Hawaii
This hike along Ka'iwa Ridge offers great views of Lanikai and Kailua. There are some very steep sections that require scrambling, and there are no guardrails along the steep cliff sections. You are heading up to multiple WW2 bunkers that overlook Lanikai Beach and the Mokes out in the Pacific Ocean.

Lulumahu Falls Trail:
Lulumahu Falls Trail traverses into a dense bamboo forest, along the Nu'uanu Reservoir, and up to Lulumahu Falls, a 50-foot-plus waterfall. This short hike includes beautiful views of Hawaii, stream crossings, and muddy rock paths. It is not maintained and there are no signs telling visitors where to go. Do not attempt this hike if it is raining as the stream can be very dangerous after and during heavy rainfall. You will want to bring bug spray.
