At its November meeting, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) Board approved funding for a senior housing development in Detroit.
The Board approved $14.9 million in loans for Meyers Senior Apartments II, a four-story new construction senior housing development.
This development will consist of 73 new units for low- and moderate-income seniors in Detroit. The units will have amenities such as central air conditioning and individual patios and balconies.
Meyers Senior Apartments II is located on the site of the former Lewis College of Business near ongoing revitalization projects in that area.
