"Predict" means "to say that an event or action will happen in the future."
Example #1: I cannot predict what will happen next year.
Example #2: It's still not possible to accurately predict the occurrence of earthquakes.
Example #3: Who could have predicted that within ten years he'd be in charge of the whole company?
