When Bocelli’s mother was pregnant with him, doctors advised her to abort the baby warning that the baby would be born with a congenital disease that would cause him to lose his sight. But the mother refused to abort her baby. Andrea Bocelli lost his vision completely at the age 12 after getting hit in the head during a soccer game.
