Toyota has unveiled updates for the 2024 Yaris Cross in Europe, introducing a more powerful Hybrid 130 powertrain and enhancing tech features, insulation, and safety equipment. The new powertrain, paired with a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor, delivers 130 hp and improves acceleration to 10.7 seconds for 0-100 km/h. The Yaris Cross maintains its eco-friendly stance with CO2 emissions ranging from 103 to 122 g/km. External changes are subtle, with a new Juniper Blue color option, while the interior boasts upgraded technology, including a choice between 7-inch or 12.3-inch digital instrument clusters and 9-inch or 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreens. The Toyota Smart Connect system now supports over-the-air updates and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Improved insulation, including a dynamic damper and triple-layer insulation, enhances the overall comfort of the vehicle. The safety kit, Toyota T-Mate, receives upgrades with new features like the Pre-Collision System and Rear Seat Reminder System. The Yaris Cross is set for online reservations later this month in specific European markets. Detailed pricing information will be available closer to the market launch, with notable competitors including the Peugeot 2008, Ford Puma, VW T-Cross, Renault Captur, Skoda Kamiq, among others.
