Instead of handling security from the Kansas City Royals dugout, one local man will soon take the field with them. For the past 12 years, David Conchola, a KCPD officer, has worked off-duty at Kauffman Stadium. On Wednesday, Conchola received an early birthday gift. In 2009, Conchola attended the Royals Fantasy Camp. For his 50th birthday, he'll be going back thanks to another lifelong Royals fan.
