Fighting erupts as Ukrainian draft officers abduct man

Ukrainian military personnel enforcing the draft have become a common sight on the streets of Ukraine’s major cities, often forcibly bundling men into cars and vans and conscripting them into service. This time, however, someone fought back. As a group of commissars attempted to bag their latest draftee in Lvov, a woman stepped in. Literally. The woman, variously reported as a passerby or the man’s wife, put herself in between the man and the soldiers in an attempt to prevent them from taking him away.

After striking one of the soldiers, the group of five fought back by yelling at her, knocking and kicking her phone away, and manhandling her off to the side. Her attempts were futile, and the commissars got their man. As always.
