Man suspected of shooting at officer kills himself after police chase, officials say

The man suspected of shooting at a police officer at the Hartwell Kroger last weekend shot and killed himself during a police chase Wednesday afternoon, officials said. Ronald Foster The suspect, Ronald Foster, crashed on southbound I-75 under the 9th Street overpass near Downtown. It's unclear whether he shot himself before or after the crash. Southbound I-75 will be closed at the Ezzard Charles exit until at least 5 p.m., according to police. City Manager Harry Black informed city council during its regular Wednesday meeting that Foster was the subject of the chase and shot himself. Cincinnati police haven't confirmed that it was Foster.
