Star Wars has been saved by the very person who prolonged their suffering. Dave Filoni was promoted to a new position, he essentially got in 2020. He will be working as the new Chief Content Officer at Lucasfilm and report directly to Kathleen Kennedy; who is very much still employed.

Despite dwindling interest in all the properties, despite Ahsoka's abysmal viewership, in Filoni we trust... because he knew George Lucas.
