Northern Alligator Lizard

The Northern Alligator Lizard (Elgaria coerulea) lives in dry forests, grasslands, rocky/mountainous areas and along creeks/streams/rivers and feeds on small insects, spiders, and mice/shrews. The Northern Alligator Lizard ranges in colour from mottled brown to mottled grey/green and grows to 27-28cm. The Northern Alligator Lizard can be found in British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon, Northern California, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana.
