The Biden administration has dispatched a senior adviser to prevent Israel’s war with Hamas from spilling over in neighbouring Lebanon. Amos Hochstein will hold talks with senior Israeli officials on preventing a war between Israel and Lebanon, two US and Israeli officials told Axios. Hochstein’s visit comes amid growing anxiety in the White House that Israeli military action in Lebanon could trigger a regional war.
