Durga puja fastival

The festival usually takes place in the Hindu month of Ashwin (September-October) and marks the triumph of good over evil. It is a time of great joy, cultural fervor, and religious observance. The preparations for Durga Puja begin weeks in advance, as communities come together to build elaborately decorated temporary structures called pandals, where the idol of Goddess Durga will be enshrined.

The centerpiece of Durga Puja is the beautifully crafted idol of Goddess Durga, depicted riding a lion and wielding an array of weapons, symbolizing her divine strength. The idol is adorned with traditional clothing and jewelry, and the meticulous craftsmanship reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region. The ceremonial installation of the idol, known as 'Pratistha,' marks the beginning of the festival.
