The SBU reported suspicion to the rector of the UOC (MP) temple in Vinnytsia, who praised terrorists Zakharchenko, Givi and Motorola

The security service exposed the criminal actions of the abbot of one of the temples of the Vinnytsia diocese of the UOC (MP), who denied Russia's armed aggression and justified the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine.

On his own Telegram channel, he repeated the Kremlin's narratives about the "civil war" in our country and praised Oleksandr Zakharchenko, Givi, and Motorola, expatriates of the DNR terrorist organization.

The cleric also distributed "author's" comments in which he tried to discredit the Ukrainian military and insulted the religious feelings of representatives of various faiths.

To prepare destructive content, he used publications of Russian propaganda Internet resources, including the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In addition, the archpriest spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda during sermons and communication with the parishioners of the church.

During searches of the cleric's residence, mobile phones and computers with evidence of subversive activities in favor of the Russian Federation were found.

Examinations initiated by the Security Service confirmed the facts of his criminal activities against our state.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service notified the cleric of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
▪️ h. 2 Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
▪️ h. 2 Art. 109 (actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or at the seizure of state power).

The figure was hiding from justice in several regions of Ukraine, but as a result of operational actions, the Security Service established his location and detained him.

At present, the measure of preventive measure has been chosen for him - detention. An investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crimes.

Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in Vinnytsia region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
