I own nothing, all credits go to FBIV. Original description below.

This song was not recorded by the Ossewabrandwag, but this version of the song did exist when they were around.

A huge thanks to
@Curious1comment
in twitter for showing me this song, and to Paul Kalma for translating this for me.

The Ossewabrandwag (Afrikaans for Ox-wagon Sentinel) was an a pro-German organisation in South Africa during World War II, which opposed South African participation in the war.

I just wanted to upload this for all the Afrikaaners that are going through violent times in South Africa. Many Afrikaaners are being beaten up, robbed or killed, just for being white. I hope this song makes them remember of the times there were still hope.

Lyrics: (may not be 100% right because they are transcribed from a dutch guy. If you are afrikaans and you notice a mistake, please tell us in the comments)

Op die heideblom 'n mooie blommetjie
En haar naam, Erika
Is slegs myne ja, 'n duisend kere meer
Harte vier, Erika

Want haar hart is vol van soetigheid
Daar 'n onontluikte blommekleed
Op die heideblom 'n mooie blommetjie
En haar naam, Erika

In my kamertjie blom ook 'n blommetjie
En haar naam, Erika
Al met môredou so ook met awendgrou
Sien sy my, Erika

En dan is dit so asof sy wil sê
Dink jy ook aan my, jou liewe bruid
In jou tuiste ween oor jou 'n meisie skoon
En haar naam, Erika
