China Hosts Diplomats Pushing Gaza Ceasefire, Flaunts Geopolitical Clout Amid Israel-Hamas War
China hosted the foreign ministers of four Arab nations and Indonesia as it asserts itself as a mediator in yet another global conflict. Beijing is hosting a delegation of foreign ministers from the Palestinian Authority, Indonesia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. The diplomats are in China as part of a tour to end fighting in Gaza and the delivery of more humanitarian aid into the territory. China's foreign minister said “we are willing to work together with our brothers and sisters in Arab-Islamic countries to quell the war in Gaza."
