Israel MPs Clash With Hostages' Families on Death Penalty, Un Says Gaza Shelters "Unliveable"
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared footage of strikes on Hamas observation positions in the Gaza Strip. The IDF announced a soldier had been killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll to 66. The Israeli National Security Committee is discussing a bill to introduce the death penalty against Palestinian armed groups’ fighters. However, the proposal has concerned family members of those taken captive during Hamas’s deadly assault on October 7.
