* Important note about permission: You do not need to acquire permission from a child whose care you responsible for, though it could be helpful, but it is a good idea to obtain permission from teenagers if possible. It is also not necessary to obtain permission from an adult in your care who is unable to give permission due cognitive, mental, or medical disability. Two examples are, if you are caring for your adult child who is nonverbal and has autism or an adult relative you are responsible for who has a condition that prevents them from making their own medical decisions.
