Man Assaulted by Stranger in Parking Garage

A man was attacked by a stranger while sitting outside of a parking garage, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said. It happened near the Collier Area Transit on Thursday. The vitim told Deputies that a black male later recognized as Darryl Sarden approached him and began asking him questions, CCSO said. When the victim replied to Sarden that he did not know what he was talking about, Sarden punched him in the face, according to reports. Sarden then told the victim to empty his pockets and expressed that he had a gun and would kill the victim if he contacted Law Enforcement. After the altercation, Sarden walked away toward 2007 Airport Pulling Rd. After reviewing security cameras, Sarden was identified and arrested and charged with battery. He remains in jail on a $2,500.00 bond.
