NT Framework 24 Kenosis Applied

SBC Family,

Today we'll look at the doctrine of kenosis applied. Most of the church has never heard these doctrines because they want to preach something relevant. However, this is the reason the church has become irrelevant. It's relevance is found only when the deep categories of Scripture are thought about. The doctrine of kenosis beckons us to think deeply about the person of Christ in hypostasis and how He lived on earth, which provides the model for how we are to live. If we never think through His subordination to the Father as the Creator and creature in one person, we'll forever remain on the surface of the issues and never have the energy to to live successful Christian lives.

There's no way to just coast through the Christian life.
