Celebrating our wedding anniversary @simpleacrehomestead

Today Cindy and I (Bert) celebrate our 11 wedding anniversary here on our .93 acre Homestead. We didn't go crazy, in fact a local flower shop was giving away a Rose to anyone named Cindy : ) We are toasting with wine made from our own grapes.
Cindy wanted a shelf to hold her Oil lamps and Jarred preserves so that was todays mission. We drove to numerous stores to try to find what we wanted and ended up finally settling on some birch boards and black brackets. All and all worth it for my beautiful wife.

Hello Everyone
We are Bert and Cindy. We are a Christian family with 4 children and are living a simple life on just under 1 acre in South Western Ontario, Canada.
Bert works full time outside of the home and Cindy homeschools our 4 children.
Together we are homesteading our little piece of property by incorporating back to Eden permaculture gardening; raising smaller livestock from poultry/rabbits to KuneKune pigs and Nigerian Dwarf Goats for larger animals.
Our goal is to become more and more self-sufficient and give our family a secure place to call home.
