I was inspired by some spalted maple firewood I spotted while at a tool sale. While I did pick up a grinder I also was that odd guy who asked to buy a couple handfuls of their firewood. The next day I milled up a piece of the firewood into a few usable pieces. This video outlines the process I used to turn the firewood into blanks for turning and a couple small boards.
