In this PodCast we will be covering the vanity and excess that is today called Thanksgiving.

We will be looking at the ancient harvest festivals going all the way back to the pagan festivals of Rome, Egypt and Greece. As well as the more modern history of Thanksgiving here in America.

Did the first settlers, who sought to escape religious persecution, intend to thank God with a day of gluttony and excess? Have you ever wondered what Native Americans think of Thanksgiving… are they thankful?

We will also be covering what God thinks of Thanksgiving as it is practiced today, what if anything you should be thankful for, and who you should be thankful to.

Topics covered in this PodCast are:
02:24 The momentous occasion of the landing on Plymouth Rock in 1620
15:35 The Native American Heritage Day and how that relates to Thanksgiving.
32:28 Vain traditions of Thanksgiving and what you should really be thankful for
51:16 The ancient Harvest festivals in Rome, Egypt and Greece and how they relate to modern day Thanksgiving.
01:01:34 The true thanksgiving and how it connects with the Good Samaritan.

Here @theFirmament360 we will be covering various topics in God's Word and as Jesus said, in the Gospel of Thomas "revealing things which have never before occurred to the mind of man."
