▶️October 17 is International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. According to The World Bank, almost 700 million people live in extreme poverty - on less than $2.15 a day.

Out of despair, many find extreme solutions. For example, in Nepal, men and women sell their kidneys. Their illiteracy plays a great role - many are assured they will only take advantage - get money and live perfectly with one kidney. In fact – the operation only worsens their situation.
