V prepares for her upcoming mission, a rendezvous with Meredith Stout, a stern Militech operative. The meeting point is set under an overpass a few blocks away, and V, opting for a stolen Maelstrom vehicle, embarks on the journey.

En route to the destination, V encounters a barricade and skillfully maneuvers through panicking pedestrians, injecting a dash of thrill into her ride. Playfully, she leaps out of the driver's door, letting the stolen vehicle careen and crash. After reboarding, she cautiously navigates the chaotic streets to reach the grungy underpasses of Night City.

Upon meeting Meredith, V is caught off guard as she's struck from behind and subjected to questioning. Remaining true to the plan, she divulges the necessary information without revealing too much. The Militech operative informs V that the Flathead will be acquired using corpo funds. Undeterred, V grins and swiftly neutralizes the malware on the shard, erasing any traces.

Miss Stout and her entourage speed away in an armored vehicle, leaving V with a satisfying 10k credits and a lingering ache in the back of her head. Returning to her car, V heads to meet Jackie, stationed conveniently near All Foods. They exchange words before making their way to the entrance of the Maelstrom hideout.
