VICTORY

We’re not alone and we’re part of a story,
That ends with God filling the world with His glory.
The books of the bible contains our true history
Angels and demons, a Saviour and mystery.

There’s a war going on behind the veil,
Where the enemies of God are doomed to fail.
But the liar, the thief and destroyer of man
Wants to take down as many as he can.

Stop them from reading God’s Word of truth,
They’ll think it’s uncool from the days of their youth.
Bring them TVs for hypnotic suggestion,
Soak up it’s lies and hate those who question.

Fill up their lives with meaningless persuits
Divide them with ongoing political disputes
Beer, drugs and shopping to escape from the void
Pagan traditions they cannot avoid.

Invisible threats to stoke up their fear,
Nameless men in white coats they’ll revere.
Satisfy their lusts with big houses and cars,
Worship of money and hollywood stars.

The promotion of pride that leads us astray,
In a fake reality to steal hearts away.
But the darkness cannot overcome the light
And when Christ returns, He’ll shine so bright.

So around the world, God’s children awaken,
The enemy attacks but we will not be shaken.
Hope in abundance and rivers of peace,
The fullness of Christ that will never cease.

It’s the heart of our Lord for all to be saved,
He frees the opressed, the lost and enslaved.
In this great story, we each have a role
Our thoughts, words and deeds written into the scroll.

Victory when we turn from this wicked worlds ways,
And follow our Saviour with hearts full of praise.
Rescued out of the thick miry clay,
Now every day is a beautiful day.
