Why is the Polk County Planning Commission trying to shut down your voice at County Commission Meetings?

On November 1st the Polk County Planning Commission voted 4 to 3 to shut down any public comments for certain types of new developments in Polk County. It was said this was at the directive of the Polk BOCC. Unsure which commissioner would want to take away the public's voice.
