The House passed Speaker Mike Johnson's continuing resolution to fund the government into the new year with broad bipartisan support. However, the House Freedom Caucus opposed the continuing resolution, resulting in a 336-95 vote. The bill will now go to the Senate, where Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have expressed support. Fox News reported this week that Michigan Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is part of a closed Facebook group that glorifies Hamas.
