New Favorite Accessory For The Nintendo Switch & Switch OLED

I've talked in the past about how I store all of my games down in my studio, but I tend to play my Nintendo Switch and my living room on the main floor. I'm old, fat, and lazy so I don't like having to run up and down stairs to swap out cartridges. I also don't like having a bunch of cases lying around in my living room. Unitech has offered a really unique eight-in-one game storage solution for the switch for some time, and now they've upgraded it. Is this my new favorite accessory for the Nintendo Switch & Switch OLED in 2023? Probably.

The way this works is pretty simple and elegant in its execution. The adapter itself holds eight games total, for which can be played and for which are simply stored in the unit. It has a ribbon cable that connects to the cartridge slot, and then you apply power via a USB-C cable. From here, you can cycle through your four games in the main area and play any of them at any time. This new version has a distinct advantage over the original, however.

The original version had a push button that you tap to change what game you are playing. I did not mind it, but many people in my original review did not like the fact that you actually had to get up to change something. Unitech has addressed this with a new remote control version, which is what you see here. Simply toggle through what game you want on the remote, and you never have to get off the couch.
