Michigan's unemployment rate for October was up two-tenths-of-a-percent.

The state Department of Technology, Management & Budget says it is now four-point-one-percent. Economists add the labor market trends from October 8th through the 14th included the active UAW strike in the state. As a result, they say the unemployment rate was impacted. The state's jobless rate was slightly higher than the national rate of three-point-nine-percent.
