There's a belief that cats, for some bizarre reasons, are utterly terrified by cucumbers. So cat owners from all around the world are testing this, and weirdly enough, all cats have the same reaction! Out kitty in this video is no exception to this "rule". Namely, this kitty is casually munching on her dinner, and as she seems to really enjoy her meal, she has absolutely no idea that owner prepares a terrifying prank! As soon as she's done eating, she turns around to take a rest, but wait! Not so fast, kitty! Even though this might seem hilarious to many people out there, it still is a cause for concern. Cats really seem distressed and many take long time to recover from the shock. So we believe that it's not a good idea to scare kitties off in this way. New objects into the home can be a good source of mental stimulation for pets, but it shouldn’t be done with the goal of freaking them out! Moreover, the fact that the cucumbers are often placed near feeding stations, like in this video, and numerous others, confuses the cats because they usually associate those areas with safety and security. The cucumbers might even seem like snakes to them, and snakes can indeed be deadly predators. This is only one possible explanation, but whatever the true reason might be, we really wish owners were not this cruel with their pets.
