Newport Beach Film Festival Programmer, Hope Hinkle Talks Balancing Christianity and Cinema
Hope Hinkle is a Writing for Film and Television major at Biola University with plans to graduate with her degree this spring. Originally hailing from a small city in Northern California.
She headed down south to pursue her career goals of being a full-time screenwriter.
Hope has a knack fantasy, sci-fi, and horror/thriller stories that all explore truly human stories at their core. As a Christian artist, she is committed to art that is shaped and informed by her faith, whatever that art may be.
We spoke with Hinkle about becoming a programmer for the Newport Beach Film Festival, what it is like finding the balance between her Christian Values and Filmmaking in a market that isn't always favorable towards Christians.
