Suspect in deadly NYC truck attack ticketed in Platte County in 2015

The suspect in the deadly truck attack in New York has a connection to the Kansas City area. 41 Action News has learned Saipov was cited for a traffic violation in Platte County on Dec. 16, 2015. Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd said in a statement that Saipov was operating a 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer northbound on I-29 when he checked into the Missouri Highway Patrol Weigh Station north of Platte City.
