Avid ramblers can don their walking boots and enjoy the network of coastal walks within the Breakwater Country Park, a spot littered with interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast.Alternatively, explore the rest of the coastline by following the coastal path, exploring Holyhead mountain and stopping off at one of the many golden beaches, including Trearddur Bay Beach, where you can look forward lazing on the shoreline or trying your hand at a range of watersports. If you want to venture further afield, hop on board the fast ferry from the port and reach Dublin within 90-minutes or take the car to the mainland to explore the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, home to even more walking opportunities, mountain biking and other outdoor pursuits.
