Erdogan narrowly survives wasp attack
Turkish President Recep Erdogan survived an attempted coup by a wasp after a loyal bodyguard bravely stepped in. And stepped on. The sting operation was launched by the wasp while Erdogan was busy droning on about Israel to the Turkish parliament. The yellowjacket landed on Erdogan’s gray jacket and was ready to deliver the coup de wasp when one of Erdogan’s guards swooped in and dewasped the president with a deft, practiced flick of the wrist. Shocked and awed, the wasp was left in a state of disarray, its air strike now turned into a ground operation. The guard, however, had had enough, and put his foot down.
Erdogan himself was unmoved by the surprise attack, and continued denouncing Israel.
