Percy Jackson & the Olympians is a series of six fantasy novels written by Rick Riordan. The story is about a 12-year-old demigod, Percy Jackson, who must travel across America to find Zeus's master lightning bolt and restore order to Olympus.
The series is set in a world with Greek gods in the 21st century. Riordan's intention in writing the novel was to open up American culture, which includes Greek mythology.
Percy Jackson & the Olympians is also a TV series that is scheduled to premiere on December 20, 2023. The first season will consist of eight episodes. Filming began in June 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia and concluded in February 2023.
