What is the connection between the symptom of air hunger, Babesia, and ozone therapy?

Why do some people report a worsening of air hunger when they do ozone therapy?

Is it because ozone therapy makes Babesia infections worse?

No, this is definitely not happening.

How do we know?

Because there are people with a Babesia infection who improved while doing ozone therapy.

Because the same thing, ozone, can't make the infection worse in one person, but better in another.

Just like antibiotics can't halt a bacterial infection in one patient, but make the bacteria multiply in another.

So, this is definitely not what's happening.

So what IS happening?

The first thing to understand is that air hunger or the sensation of not being able to breathe, is not specific to Babesia.

Air hunger can be caused by other issues as well.

Especially, if nothing can be found in the lungs, one should look into neurological involvement.

Breathing is controlled by a part of our brain which is situated at the base of our skull.

If there is any form of cervical instability present, like atlantoaxial instability, craniocervical instability, bulging discs, or spinal stenosis - this can have an influence on the brain stem, which is the control center responsible for breathing.

Cervical instabilities can be caused by a wide range of issues: connective tissue disorders, accidents (even minor ones), degeneration, auto-immune problems like arthritis, but also by infections.

We know that tubercullosis, brucellosis, and respiratory infections can cause cervical instabilities and subluxations.

The same is possible for Babesia and other tick born conditions.

Why would ozone therapy make that worse?

Because of Herxheimer reactions, possibly through oxalate displacement, or through relaxation of the muscles.

Key take away: air hunger, and many other symptoms which are typically ascribed to infections, can be also caused by structural symptoms.
