Help may be on the way for people dealing with damaged seawalls in Punta Gorda. On November 1, the city is expected to approve a $741,000 contract with Neubert Construction Services. The contractor will be in charge of repairing seawalls damaged by Hurricane Irma. The work is expected to start by the end of the year. If approved, the city would supply seawall panels for free. Homeowners would have to cover construction costs.
