Putin's industrialization

A polymer plant is being built in the north of the Irkutsk Region. The enterprise will become the center of INK's gas chemical cluster. It will produce polyethylene from its own raw materials (ethane produced at a nearby gas processing plant), which will be used in machine building, space industry, medicine, heavy and light industry. In addition to the domestic market, China will be one of the key markets for the products.

The volume of output is 650 thousand tons per year, which is about 7% of the current annual output of polymers in the whole of Russia. Due to a high degree of automation, the number of employees will not exceed 1.5 thousand people

A settlement for 1000 people with all modern infrastructure will be built next to the enterprise.

Construction started in 2021 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
