Palestinians say killings by Israeli army similar to massacres carried out in 1948 'Nakba'

For every Hamas fighter Israel claims to have hit in Gaza, it's killed more than 100 civilians.

As entire neighbourhoods are reduced to rubble, Palestinians are completely surrounded, and have little or no hope of finding safety.

They describe what is happening as a second Nakba or catastrophe, when they were forced from their land by the creation of Israel in 1948.
