The $270+ million sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, which still holds the title for the best grossing female superhero film of all time, has achieved the lowest start ever for a Marvel Studios film in the United States. That’s quite a feat. While tracking reduced expectations for The Marvels from $80 million to $60 million, concerns immediately grew that The Marvels would have the worst MCU opening ever, but they had no idea how bad it would be. horror writer Stephen King on Twitter, wrote a message against those he claims are enjoying the problems that Marvel Studios is facing, while simultaneously admitting he doesn’t support the franchise led by Kevin Feige either.
