The first meeting to select the new president of California State University, Bakersfield was held Monday afternoon. The CSU Board of Trustees held an open forum from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Doré Theatre on the CSUB campus.  CSU Trustee and Chair of the presidential search, John Nilon said the committee is interested in what students, faculty and the public want to see in the next president.  "Who they think in terms of their knowledge, skills, abilities, talents, energy can lead the campus to success," Nilon said.  The new president will succeed current CSUB President Horace Mitchell, who announced his retirement at the end of the 2017-2018 school year in August.
