One of Xi Jinping’s demands to the U.S. is that he should not see any protesters, and the San Francisco city government is fully complying with this request by placing heavy metal barriers in the main streets leading to the conference venue, and keeping the anti-CCP protesters in remote streets so that Xi won’t see them.
