In 1900, Gabriel Veyre filmed a video in French Indochina (now Vietnam) that shows the wife and daughter of Joseph Athanase Paul Doumer, the Governor-General of French Indochina from 1897 to 1902, throwing small coins and grains in front of Annamite children.
The Lumière brothers recorded this video to showcase the “greatness” of the French and their colonies.
I found this so weird.😑👎.
