Mostly Javanese, New Caledonia Looks Like Indonesia

It is located to the east of the Australian continent, on the southern side of the Pacific Ocean and north of New Zealand. This country is inhabited by thousands of Javanese people who were transported by ship by the Dutch East Indies Government at the end of the 19th century until the beginning of the 20th century. They were transported to New Caledonia to work on plantations there.
