Tracking down an intermittent misfire on a Ford Escape that runs fine every time I get it.

One of my customers brought me a 2009 Ford Escape that only breaks when he is driving it. Since this is the second time back and I don't want to continue wasting time and money I need to do something to find a solution to the problem or at least narrow it down. Let's see if my idea works and what it will take to fix this little guy. For all the Ford fans that like to tell me GM cars rust worse than Fords, I have included proof that you might just be wrong about that.
