Using a bench for overhead shoulder movement
You are ready to get stronger and move pain free with your shoulders using this simple, effective technique with a flat bench.
You may have had difficulty performing a full downward dog in yoga class because it is a tough posture if lacking the physical prerequisites to perform.
But this adjustment gives you the opportunity to reach underutilized muscle tissue so it has the chance to grow!
You can use a flat bench, or another object like a chair with similar height.
This position allows you to reach further into the shoulder girdle while keeping your lower body firmly on the floor and secure. Give this a shot and stay consistent and you will be doing a better downward dog in no time.
