The Scientist egg heads have developed a cunning plan where commanders in the Elite Dangerous Galaxy can try and thwart the thargoids through sabotage. By collecting minerals and materials around the spire site they can produce contaminated material to insert into the spires in the hope they will poison the thargoid titans.
