Bioreactor Day 11 - First Fungal Fruiting

The two bioreactors are now in their 11th day of operation. While the core temps are still about 150 degrees F the wood chip cap is already throwing its first mushroom flush. This will be the first of many.

As I have said before the top cap of chips absent any significant nitrogen and already being quite aged will not go thermophilic. It will start to increase fungal activity and eventually colonize the entire reactor once the heat cycle ends.
