1989 Mercury 35hp motor with a bad power pack I believe
A 1989 Mercury 35hp outboard that has loss of power. The coils are good and it runs but has lose of power at higher RPM's. I ultrasonically cleaned the carb. I even swapped the carb with one that I have. The still had the same issue. In a future video I plan on checking the timing pointer. I may suggest that the power pack be replaced. At first, I thought this maybe a fuel issue. Now I believe its the power pack. The Trigger, Stator and power pack are very old. Probably needs replaced. But if they aren't broken then why replace them.
Thanks for watching!
